Magic Search by RofeSoft Development House ("we", "our", "us") provides a search widget for BigCommerce stores. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

1. Data We Collect

When you install Magic Search, we collect and store the following data from your BigCommerce store:

• Store Information: Store hash (unique identifier), API access token, store name, and admin email address.
• Product Data: Product name, SKU, description, price, calculated price, brand, categories, images, custom URL, and custom fields.
• Category & Brand Data: Category names, hierarchy structure, and brand names.
• Subscription Data: Payment information is processed by Paddle (our payment provider) — we do not store credit card details.

2. How We Use Your Data

• Building and maintaining a search index for your storefront search widget.
• Providing custom field filtering, category browsing, and product sorting.
• Processing subscription payments through Paddle.
• Syncing product changes via BigCommerce webhooks (create, update, delete).

3. Data Storage & Security

Product data is stored in our database and indexed in Meilisearch (our search engine). All data is transmitted over HTTPS. API tokens are stored securely and used only to communicate with the BigCommerce API on your behalf.

4. Third-Party Services

• Meilisearch: Powers the search functionality. Product data is indexed for fast search.
• Paddle: Processes subscription payments. Subject to Paddle's Privacy Policy.
• BigCommerce: Source of store and product data via their API.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as the app is installed on your store. When you uninstall Magic Search:

• All product, category, and brand data is deleted from our database.
• The Meilisearch index for your store is removed.
• BigCommerce webhooks are unregistered.
• Webhook event logs are purged.

6. Your Rights

You can request data export or deletion at any time by contacting us. Uninstalling the app automatically removes all your store data from our systems.
